The landscape is an extension of the Islamic architectural style. The landscape forms are derived from traditional Islamic design but within a contemporary context. This includes streetscapes, plazas, courtyards, and other open spaces.

The landscape is designed for the professors and students enjoyment and ease of use. Particular attend has been paid to convenient circulation and accessibility for the disabled for moving from one space to another. Also, a variety of spaces have been created for particular uses which includes social, recreational, exercise, and sports elements. The landscape has both active and passive recreation spaces. The spaces are comfortable with shade and greenery along vehicular and pedestrian circulation routes, plazas, and courtyards. The landscape gives relief from the harsh desert environment.

This is a sustainable landscape based on the indigenous nature of the local environment. For the hardscape and site furniture the materials should achieve a SRI value of SRI 29. The majority of the planting is to be native adaptive to reduce water usage. And the lighting will be LED flowing sustainability principles for reducing light pollution.

Landscape materials for streetscapes, hardscapes, site furniture and planting is durable and fits the Islamic design concept for each particular landscape concept. The different materials are in harmony with each other to achieve an overall look and feel of a large Islamic garden.
